The sea does not ask the cliff for permission. Neither do I, anymore.
Unstoppable.
Long before you arrived, the waves were already coming in. Long after you leave, they will rise and crash and rise again — powerful, inevitable. They do not doubt. They do not hold back. They simply keep going.
The ocean has never once stopped for anyone. That is what comforts me most of all.
This painting reminds me that the world is vast, life is generous, and we are all part of something so much larger than whatever weighs on us at the moment.
