A bare tree under the moon, and the fog holding everything else. Some nights the quiet is the whole story.
This is my absolute favorite landscape in the collection. It shares many dualist properties as it uniquely marries together two opposite styles: Tonalism (Quiet and intimate) and Expressionism (emotional and vivid), Moon and Sunlight, Reality with reflection, a painting that is both hopeful and haunting at the same time.
